Such a fun, cute and refreshing read. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did 😍
There's quite the backstory to me picking up this book. I watched the Korean drama and absolutely fell in love. I'm not surprised that I did fall in
love with the drama because it was directed by one of my favourite Korean directors, but I did expect to love it as much as I did. Then in July, I was in Korea for two weeks. In that time we went to Korea's largest bookstore in Seoul, and this book series was one of the first ones I found in the store. I didn't end up buying anything the first time There's quite the backstory to me picking up this book. I watched the Korean drama and absolutely fell
in love. I'm not surprised that I did fall in love with the drama because it was directed by one of my favourite Korean directors, but I did expect to love it as much as I did. Then in July, I was in Korea for two weeks. In that time we went to Korea's largest bookstore in Seoul, and this book series was one of the first ones I found in the store. I didn't end up buying anything the first time that I went, but I kept on thinking about this series. I wanted to own the series because if I got to
the level of fluency where I could read this Manhwa, it would cost me so much money to ship them over, and I wouldn't be able to get all six books, only the first three. So I basically dragged my boyfriend back to that store the following day with the promise of buying him a book, and because when I was there it was like a comic week or something, I got like 15/20% of the entire series. Got back to London, and I fancied reading it so I started to read it online because my Korean is not good
enough to read this Manhwa. I can't wait to read it with the physical book in the future, and take it out in the world with me. I loved the story. I am actually surprised at how closely the tv series followed the first volume. I suspect it will continue in this way, so I will know most of what happens. Though knowing what will happen still gives me feelings when I read this book. I still feel giddy and fangirl over the romantic bits. I probably feel the feelings more because I know what the
characters are actually thinking. I love the main characters and I can't wait to see them get together in the book.
This was picked up and made into a drama. I watched the drama when it first released and have always wanted to read the webtoon it was based on. Honestly, I think the drama kept real close to the webtoon. I'll be re-watching
the drama now that I read this. I think it was beautiful, cute, funny and obviously sad at very traumatic points. I do think the drama was able to translate the seriousness of the situation that brought these two together to begin with and the trauma that follows them both i This was picked up and made into a drama. My, will you look at that. This manhwa is better than what I expected. For the record, I haven't watched the k-drama yet (and I guess I don't have plans of watching it), but I
have to say, Kim Miso is my new fictional girl crush. She follows both her heart and her mind—a strong independent woman—and cannot be charmed by a rich mogul who wants to be tied with her indefinitely. IMHO, we need more Kim Miso in this male-dominated world. For the record, I haven't watched the k-drama yet (and I guess I don't have plans of watching it), but I have
